Sadie's Blessing

On December 20th Sadie was blessed in Sullivan Ward. Grandma and Grandpa James flew up for the weekend and it was fun for Sadie to meet Grandpa James too! Grandma and Grandpa James, Grandma and Grandpa Murphey, Trenton, Troy, Tate, Coco and Hector, Great-Gram Murphey, and Barbara and Ernie were all there. It was a nice day for our very special little girl. Afterward we ate dinner at the Richardson's and Mike and Kathy were there too!

Christmas in Spokane

We did quite a bit of flying this Christmas break. We left for Spokane on the 11th of December. VERY early in the morning. The kids were pretty cranky by the time we got there, (at 12:30 p.m. it was like a whole extra day!) and were a lot more pleasant the next morning. It was the first time Sadie met Grandma and Grandpa and they couldn't have loved her more. They played with Sadie and Cooper constantly. We had a ton of fun in the first two days. We went to the ward Christmas party and met Santa where Cooper learned to "oh oh oh" (yeah, he's a little backward). The next day we went to Grandpa Murphey's work where we saw Santa again. Cooper didn't cry either time we saw Santa but he did seem a little apprehensive. He would stick his tongue out to the side as a funny little nervous tick. We loved hanging out with Grandma all day, we had fun with Tate when he got home, and looked forward to playing with Grandpa before he bathed us and put us to bed. Family is the best!!!

More Christmas Morning

Here are some more pictures from Christmas morning. I haven't blogged in forever and I can't figure out the new way to upload pictures (if it's not from Picassa where you can only do 4 at a time). I keep getting three or four on their upload screen (and that's if the pictures actually show up. Half of them just come up with blank boxes) and then everytime I hit okay or upload or whatever it only gets one of my pictures there and it messes up all the other pictures I already had there, that I upload from Picassa. What am I doing wrong?!?!

Christmas Morning, A Little Early

Christmas at our house! Since we are gone for Christmas, Santa comes early to our house. Cooper loved the presents, especially Sadie's. He didn't love his rocking chair with Sadie's walker calling his name, but now that we are home he's warmed up to it. Love Sades with the tongue constantly out!

Gingerbread Houses

The Sunday before we left we had the Kuntz' and the Swenson's over to make gingerbread houses. We had a blast! The men assembled the houses while Liam and Cooper kept their mouths stuffed. And I do mean stuffed, the whole time! Cooper even tried to share with Lucas, even if his Mom wouldn't let him open it. Cooper helped decorate the house. We ended up with random Skittles everywhere, and most in his tummy, but we had a lot of fun. Everyone's houses turned out great and we have such good friends here!

Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanksgiving was awesome! We celebrated on Saturday in light of our way fun trip to New York and early morning shopping. Since we have such a small table that we had to eat on two tables, and I didn't get a great picture of either. Just after dinner, big Cooper wanted to play Twister. Crazy kid! Shockingly enough he won every round. Must be something about being little. Kaylene did give him a run for his money though. I was impressed!

Thanksgiving!

For Thanksgiving this year we made some fun plans with the Fousts. Last year when we were at their house for Thanksgiving we started talking about how it would be so fun to go to the Macy's Day Parade. And after a whole year of talking, we actually made it! They spent the couple days before doing things in New York City and we met them at the home where they were staying on Wednesday night. (A VERY nice older lady let us all crash at her house, which definitely beat the alternative of leaving State College at 2 in the morning on Thanksgiving day!) We stayed up way to late talking with the Foust's (I love them!) and got up around 5:30 to get ready and go wait for the parade. We took the bus to the subway and the subway to downtown and found a spot about 10 blocks from the beginning of the parade. Cooper was able to go with Courtney, Carson, Cameron, and big Cooper in front of a tree where he could see everything. He enthusiastically clapped for the giant basketball balloons and the parade kept his attention for most of the time. It was really cool to see how big things really were and it's always fun to be right in the middle of the fun. Sadie slept in the stroller for a lot of the parade, which was awesome, and both Cooper and Sadie crashed as soon as we left the parade. After the parade we went to K. O. Schwartz, a gigantic toy store, where Coop wasn't any too sure about a keyboard that you walked on to play. He did like the dress up tunnel though. Think we should be worried? After a long day in New York, where we couldn't even find a paper with the ads, we all headed back to State College to check out the ads, plan a shopping route, and set alarms for 3 1/2 hours later. When I tried to wake Spence up for Black Friday shopping, I realized just how out of it he was and let him choose to stay home (twice, and he doesn't remember a thing). Kaylene, Courtney, and I had fun shopping and got all our good deals! It was so easy it almost felt anticlimactic this year. Much better that way!
